Less Bitrate

I updated my nvidia driver and plays tv. Now i only have a max bitrate of 16000 kBit/s.

Before i had ca 30000 kBit/s.

1080p, 60fps, 50Mb/s

Didn't changed anything.

This happens with me too

+1 - there is something going on here. I filed this as ticket #48604. I'm currently using "GeForce Game Ready Driver" versions 375.95, released 11/17/2016. I have not tried rolling back to an older driver, as that's not really a tractable solution...

If I select any bitrate 20 Mbps or higher, the resulting video is always around 16 Mbps. This is visible in various ways:

  1. Play the video in VLC, hit control i, select the 'statistics' tab, look at "input bitrate". These are variable-frame-rate clips, so it fluctuates a bit. Clicking the disclosure triangle to reveal the graph shows that it's pretty consistent @ 16 Mbps.

  2. Using Windows, view the file location in 'details' view with the 'data rate' column enabled:

  3. Using ffprobe (part of ffmpeg) - note that the comment inserted by the encoder indicates that the bitrate is set to 30, yet the actual bitrate reported by ffprobe is 16525 kb/s:

    [/D/]$ ffprobe -hide_banner 2016_11_26_16_33_54-ses.mp4

Do you see a drastic reduction in quality of the video?

Where are you seeing these caps on the video quality?

The Bitrate from the recorded Videos is now lower if i capture ingame Videos. Same settings, nothing changed. Decreased from 30k to 15k kBit/s.

So you updated your Nvidia Driver and now the bitrate on your GPU has been lowered?

What kind of change were you expecting to see?

I'm afraid I don't quite understand the issue. My apologies.
